Greeting from 3 Lakes Fly Fishing,

Spring is around the corner, lots of snow this year. No problems with the aerator systems this year. Fish are doing well after the long winter. Normally ice off is April 1st at Horseshoe and Little Moose, April 15th at Dad’s Lake. But this year with the heavier snow fall we maybe pushed out an additional week.  Bellevue and Portland show went well. We will be at the Spokane Fishing Show February 29th to March 2nd. And also the Big Horn Show in Spokane March 20th to the 23rd.

This year we will have a price increase to $175.00 per day per person, however, those receiving our newsletter and those attending the shows we will be honoring the 2007 prices up until April 30th 2008 for bookings made for the 2008 season.  At Horseshoe Lake and Dads Lake there will be a four person minimum. Little Moose two persons will be fine with a two day or more stay.

We are looking at having the fly fishing school the  3rd weekend in June so its after schools out   so fathers can bring there sons or daughters and jump start them into the world of fly fishing.

The bald eagles have been hanging around the open waters by the aerator lines. Don’t know where the moose went, 3 or 4 feet of snow must have been a bit much.

We plan on planting a few hundred 12 inch Eastern Brook and we are still working on permits for Tiger trout and hope to plant a few Tiger trout if our permit is approved.  A few people have asked about having a few Brown trout in the lake. Please let us know your thoughts.

We have been having problems with our e-mail, if you have e-mailed us and did not get a response within a couple days please give me a call at 509-675-4200.

Currently we are over a third booked so please contact us as soon as possible so we can better accommodate your vacation schedule.  Look forward to hearing from you soon and having a great season with larger fish this year.

Little Moose lake is 8 acres mostly 40' deep with the parameters producing the majority of the feed. The lake is spring fed at 2000 ft. elevation.

Dad's Lake is 35 acres at a 2600 ft. elevation. Located at the end of the road, the lake is fed by a small stream. The maximum depth is 25' and about 1/3 of the lake is 6'-10' ft. deep producing natural feed. Half of the lake can be easily fished from the bank

Horseshoe Lake is 33-acres in a private setting. Three large cold-water springs feed the lake at an elevation of 3100 ft. Several 16' deep channels provide cold water habitat and about half of the lake is 6'-10' deep providing excellent natural feed.
